Working in the Alps

I’m immensely fortunate in my work. I have been lucky enough to be invited to all kinds of places around the world to look at fossil tracks.

One such trip was to the Swiss alps to document some fossil footprints on the side of a mountain. This photo was taken nearby to the track sites.

And yet, these are not the most fun part of what I do.  The real sense of accomplishment and achievement doesn’t come from the field, it comes from the lab, or office, when a breakthrough is made.

Still… it is nice to get out sometimes.
