Bidston train station is a small place, with just two tracks; one either side of the platform. You might not think much of it, the trains pull up, people get on and off, and away the trains go again. But if you take a moment to look at the tracks, they are far more complex than you might imagine. Take a look at the photo and see what can be seen; weathered railway sleepers showing their age, cams and pistons to move the rails so trains can change tracks. The number ‘2582’ which presumably has some meaning to someone. The wires look relatively new – have they been replaced recently?
So much detail if we just look down over the edge.
